Day 85- "Black Eyed Susan" (Digital Photograph)
I am participating in the event called "100 Days" (www.onehundreddays.net) . Artists of all kinds (painters, photographers, writers) will be creating something every day for 100 days and blogging about their experiences along the way. I will be drawing and paintng and posting on this blog what I have created. This is my very first time blogging, so I look forward to the challenges ahead.

Day 77
Day 77- "Lilly" (Digital Photograph) As I found myself falling behind on drawing and posting, I decided that I would include photography. This view point will show the same subject matter that I have been interested in through out the project.
Day 73
Day 73- "Artists Covered Bridge" (Watercolor)- This was the beginning of getting behind on the 100 Days Project. I was working on this painting for my friend Jenny, who is getting married. This was her gift for her bridal shower. I was afraid to post it due to not wanting her to see it. This is the first day of working on it.

Day 53
Day 53- "Tree Line" (Digitally Enhanced Photo) This is the same process as yesterday, using the app called "DrawCast" on my iPad. The picture this is based on I recently took on a hike up Mt. Monroe in the White Mountains. This process intrigues me because I can look at a photograph and see a painting and work using both mediums.
Day 52
Day 52- "Lilies" (Digitally Enhanced Photo)- This is a drawing I experimented with on my Ipad using an app called "DrawCast". I started with a photo and drew over it using this app. I was happy to find a way to draw using the Ipad in a new creative way. I just recently got the Ipad and have been thinking of ways to use it in the classroom. I drew using my fingers only, as I do not have a stylus for it.

Day 47
Day 47- "Backyard Flower" (Pencil) I forget the name of these flowers, but they are pink and fuzzy looking. Anyway, The little bees were attacking me while I was drawing this because I put on sunscreen and they must of liked it.
Day 46
Day 46- "Backyard Hosta" (Pencil) This is an area of the backyard that we edged with the stones we dug out of the lawn. There is a nice hosta that my sister in law gave us. It was nice sitting outside and drawing.
Day 45
Day 45 -"Garden" (Pencil) I decided for the next few drawings, to get myself caught up, I would sit outside and draw around my house. This was a drawing of our raised bed garden.

Day 44
Day 44- "Lilies 2" (Charcoal) I sat outside and drew the red lilies in my yard. I really had a hard time just using shades of grey, but I liked using the charcoal. The colors are really beautiful so I may revisit these again.

Day 43
Day 43- "Follow the Lines" (Watercolor) This was another attempt of painting "freely". I started with just a faint black series of lines. I thought that I would let the line this time guide the shapes.
Day 42
Day 42- "Vision" (Watercolor) I sometimes like to play around with the watercolor and not think too much about it. This started with a wash and then I used line to enhance the shapes.
Day 41
Day 41- "Tree on Mt. Major" (Pencil on watercolor paper) This is a tree that I saw on the way down Mt. Major on the orange trail. I liked how it was bent. I am hoping to paint this in the near future.

Day 40
Day 40- "Lilies" (Watercolor on watercolor paper) I have to admit, I am a few days behind in this journey of 100 Days of Drawing and Painting! I will however catch up, if that is ok? I have found that being on vacation for the summer makes it really more difficult to have routine. I have been spending my days in the garden, and doing things outside (such as a lot of mountain biking and kayaking). No excuse. :) I did enjoy this little painting however. Tomorrow my goal is to "catch up".

Day 39
Day 39- "Lilies" (Pencil on watercolor paper) This is a drawing that I will paint hopefully tomorrow of lilies in our garden. The colors are really beautiful so I am anxious to see it in color.
